Autumn Grave Care and Cemetery Maintenance

Autumn Grave Maintenance
Beautiful Autumn Cemetery
As summer’s effects diminish, autumn’s colors accentuate the beauty of almost every cemetery I visit. I love this time of year and as we journey headlong into the fall season cemetery & grave maintenance and grave care duties will become more enjoyable and more abundant.

Ahhhh….FALL. Leaves change colors and litter the ground with their crunchy golden gown. As pretty as fall colors are, they bring tremendous opportunities for everyone operating grave care businesses. Fall cleanup is a busy time of year in cemeteries as leaves must be cleared away. It is also a time of year when bright summer floral grave decorations give way to more seasonally appropriate colors. Additionally, it is a perfect time of year to perform minor landscaping jobs (as cemetery regulations allow), tombstone cleaning, and pre-winter prep.

If you run a grave care business, it will pay you to inform your clients about your autumn grave care services. The next few months will be very busy for you.

If you haven’t started your grave care business yet, we would like to invite you to learn about our Grave Care Business course. This is a comprehensive training course that will teach you practically everything you need to know to start and operate a successful Grave Care Business.

Grave Decorations and Plot Maintenance for Father’s Day

Father's Day Grave Site Maintenance
Father's Day Grave Maintenance
Father’s Day is Sunday June 17, 2012.

Traditionally, Father’s Day is one of the busier times for Grave Care Companies. Father’s day is an opportunity for family members to visit their father’s grave site and pay respects to him.

While Mother’s Day brings many requests for floral decorations, we have always seen increased “utilitarian” requests for services around Father’s Day. These services include grass mowing (in non-managed cemeteries), detailed trimming, general plot maintenance, and tombstone cleaning.

There are likely reasons for duty oriented tasks on Father’s Day versus Mother’s Day. Father’s Day occurs later in the summer season. Since grass has already had an opportunity to creep over tombstones, detailed trimming at this time of year greatly enhances the looks of a gravesite. Dusty summer conditions have also begun to take their toll and proper cleaning of gravestones is better accomplished when the weather is warm but not too hot.

There are still many requests for grave site flower decorations on Father’s Day. However, Grave Care Companies that offer plot maintenance services in addition to floral decorations should see a great increase in business over the next several weeks.

If you have ever thought about starting a Grave Care Service Business, we have developed a comprehensive training tutorial and business package. Please visit our main website (link above) for more information and ordering instructions.

Grave Care Decorations and Memorial Day: Grave Care Business

Reuben Ferris - Revolutionary War Soldier's Grave Site

Memorial Day is the next big holiday that will have family members thinking about grave care and decorations for their loved ones’ grave sites. Memorial Day is a day of remembering all those who died in Wars while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Cemeteries such as Arlington and other National Cemeteries have dedicated crews who spend many hours placing decorations on the graves of soldiers. However, most other cemeteries rely on family members to pay special respect to soldiers. Unfortunately, family members are sometimes unable to visit the gravesites of their loved ones. If spouses are in ill-health or family members have moved away, grave sites are often neglected.

If you have ever thought about starting a Grave Care Business, Memorial Day is a perfect time to start.

There is a great need for Grave Care Businesses. The services you offer include: grave site decoration for special days (such as Memorial Day), tombstone cleaning, plot maintenance, and many other services. We have developed a comprehensive training tutorial that will teach you how to start, expand, and successfully operate a Grave Care Business.

If you’re late starting your business, don’t worry. There are plenty of other holidays – such as Father’s Day in June.

Grave Care Maintenance & Easter Grave Headstone Decorations

Easter Grave Decorations
Easter Grave Decorations - Grave Care Business
Hi Everyone:

We are entering a VERY BUSY time for the Grave Care Business.

The sun is shining, trees are blooming, and each day is warmer than the last. Spring is truly in the air as cold winter days have been banished to our memories for another season. Spring is a time of revitalization and rebirth. It is a time when we clean up after a long cold winter and spruce up for the beautiful summer ahead.

Cemeteries and grave plots are not immune to the effects of winter and they need springtime revitalization too. In fact, with springtime here and Easter just around the corner, right now is a time when many family members begin thinking about care for their loved one’s grave sites. Easter time is a perfect time for proper grave care maintenance. Unfortunately, elderly spouses and children who have moved away from home are, too often, unable to provide the proper care for these grave sites.

For anyone who operates a Grave Care Maintenance Business, the weeks before and after Easter is a very busy time for providing springtime plot maintenance, floral decorations, and tombstone cleaning. Your services are in high demand right now and it is to your advantage to make the most of this demand.

If you haven’t started your business yet but have often thought about providing grave care services as a small business, right now is a perfect time to start. Families all over the country are planning visits to their families’ grave sites this month. They want grave sites to look nice and have special decorations for Easter celebrations but they are not always willing or able to do the work themselves. This niche opens up a tremendous business opportunity for creative entrepreneurs who would love working for themselves providing grave care services.

Our company has developed a comprehensive grave care business training program. This professionally produced program is designed to help you start and successfully operate your own Grave Care Business. It includes training manuals, video tutorials, a software suite, and a series of very helpful estimating calculators.

Spring Time Grave Care – January 2012

Grave Care in Springtime
Springtime Grave Care
Springtime is just around the corner and you have an ideal opportunity to build clients for your Grave Care Business as winter weather dwindles and warmer temperatures make your potential customers realize the importance of proper grave care, plot maintenance, gravestone cleaning, and springtime floral grave decorations.

Though this winter has been mild over much of the country, grave sites and entire cemeteries will need routine maintenance and general sprucing up. Old floral decorations will need to be removed and replaced with springtime colors. Ground erosion needs to be remedied, fallen branches should be removed, remaining leaves need to be blown away, and fresh seed needs to be sown to assure a good stand of grass to beautify the grave plots. Proper grass seed is especial important around plots on a hillside because spring rains often cause problematic erosion.

Managed care cemeteries often do much of this work. However, many of your clients will hire you to perform detailed work to assure it is done right. Also, most cemeteries do not have full-time maintenance crews and grave plots within those cemeteries need additional work to assure they are properly maintained. Families of the loved-ones buried there are willing (especially this time of year) to pay to have a professional do the work for them.

Let’s not forget; Valentine’s Day is February 14 and Easter is April 8. These dates are very important and you will be able to acquire many customers who will pay you to place special grave side decorations to honor their loved-ones.

This is a very important time of the year for your Grave Care Business.

If you haven’t started your grave care business yet, right now is a great time to start. If you need help, we have developed a professionally produced Grave Care Business course that will teach you practically everything you need to know to start a successful Grave Care Business. Autumn Grave Care and Cemetery Maintenance

Grave Care and Maintenance during Autumn
Autumn Grave Care & Cemetery Maintenance

As much as I love springtime, summer, (and even winter) I REALLY LOVE autumn weather and its beauty as its color unfolds in our local cemeteries.

The trees in our area of the country will show their full autumn colors in a few weeks.  The golden glow in the air and the crisp crunch underfoot makes me so happy that I am able to spend my days working my business in such beautiful surroundings.

Autumn presents many opportunities if you run your own grave care maintenance business.   Not only are there leaves to clear away from cemetery plots, this is also a good time to perform needed small landscaping projects desired by your customers.  You will be called upon to replace summer floral grave decorations with autumn color themes and, if photography and videography is part of your service offerings, the next few months are absolutly perfect to get fantastic photographs and video.
